A 57-year-old woman has died after being pulled unconscious from the water in Sydney Harbour last night.

Boaters were alerted to the swimmer by a dog barking at the water’s edge at the Elizabeth Bay marina next to a bag.

Witnesses performed CPR on the woman until paramedics arrived at around 7.10pm, but the woman was unable to be saved.

Police attended and will prepare report for the information of the Coroner.
