A 20-year-old man has been struck and killed in a hit and run near Port Augusta in South Australia.
Isiah Hodshon, a talented musician, was found alongside the Augusta Highway about 6.30pm on Sunday. He was just 3kms from his Stirling North home.
Police believed he was walking home from work when he was hit by a vehicle heading in the same direction. They said the vehicle didn’t stop
“I hope the guilt sets in if they did know they hit someone… and they should come clean,” local resident Dierdre McKerlie told 9News.
“It’s pretty devastating you know… as it is… any death in the family.”
Flowers were laid at the site on Monday as his family posted tributes.
His mother said she was living a nightmare. “losing such a beautiful lil soul always smiling no matter what was going on”.
Police are now analysing CCTV from nearby businesses and are urging anyone with dashcam footage in the hours before 6.30pm on Sunday to contact Crime Stoppers.
