Perfectly camouflaging, the snake almost appears to look like a stick in the bottom left hand corner of the shot.

Snake Catchers Brisbane and Gold Coast said the snake had reached maturity as it’s “quite large”.

They warned brown snakes can be sometimes difficult to identify as they vary in colour and pattern.

“Colour ranges from pale tan through orange, russet, dark brown and almost black, sometimes with cross-body banding,” the snake catchers posted online.

“Hatchling and juveniles particularly vary in colour, frequently having dark heads or neck bands, or being completely banded along the body length.”
