A Brisbane father was seriously injured in a wild brawl at a junior rugby league game over the weekend.
The fight is understood to have broken out between rival fans during an under-13s game between Wynnum Manly and Logan Brothers at Wynnum on Sunday.
A video of the altercation shows the melee spilling across the sideline.
The game is interrupted and father Josh Jones was kicked in the head, causing the 35-year-old to sustain severe facial injuries.
Various onlookers are heard trying to stop the fight.
“Don’t do it,” one person yelled.
“They started that,” said another.
Authorities are now looking for the 36-year-old Logan man who allegedly started the fight.
He is suspected to have fled the scene with his son in a silver car.
A fundraiser has been started for Mr Jones.
The organiser said the father was “ready to commence with a new job on Tuesday, but now has no idea when he will be able to start”.
Over $5,000 of a $10,000 goal has already been raised.
