Olympic swimmer Scott Miller has been arrested at his waterfront home in Sydney’s Inner West in the early hours of this morning.
NSW Police drug and firearm squad arrested Miller at his Wulumay Close unit in Rozelle and have taken him to Newtown police station for questioning.
Police will allege Miller was involved in the supply of more than $2 million of the drug related ice concealed in candles.
A search warrant is still underway as police search silver medallist’s home, bagging potential evidence and photographing some of his personal belongings.
Senior police will hold a press conference later this morning in relation to Miller’s arrest and the arrest of another man.
Miller’s arrest come after a lengthy investigation by NSW Police and the NSW Crime Commission into an alleged criminal syndicate.
Miller, a butterfly swimmer who won a silver and bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, has been open about his previous battles with drugs, once vowing he would never touch illicit substances.
Search warrants are still underway at Rozelle, a business at Bankstown and a home at Balmain.
Investigations are continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
