Similar to webinar and newsletter fatigue, people have started complaining about the sheer number of podcasts. Virtually everyone seems to have a podcast these days. The internet has made content creation permissionless.
In turn, that has raised the bar of what we consider to be a great podcast. That’s especially true in frontier fields like Web3. If you actively follow news related to crypto, you must be feeling overwhelmed by all activities and their scale. To help you navigate all that, this week I have curated my favourite podcasts!

As an active member of a few great crypto communities, I have had the privilege of curating this podcast list after getting insights from some bright minds of the community. Some of the shortlisted podcasts are widely recognized, others might come as a surprise. Here you go my favourite picks alongside reviews from other listeners.️

Great Web3 podcasts and reviews from their listeners:

  • Bankless: This newsletter is well worth it, the podcast is amazing: guests, topics, crypto, you name it.
“I’m a Boomer trying to understand Crypto and its defi, NFT…offshoots. I thought I understood the basics when I started listening to Bankless and figured I’d be able to follow it.
“I quickly learned how much I didn’t know. I kept listening even though it was way over my head but I gradually found that with a little more research about things I was hearing, I began to actually understand the space and consequently Bankless episodes.
“I appreciate feeling like I’m constantly learning, especially about the leading edge of crypto products. Thanks for all you do”

  • Acquired. My personal favourite is not purely focused on Web3 but lately, they launched several amazing episodes on the topic featuring FTX, Race Capital, BrainTrust, Audius etc.
“Current obsession: The @AcquiredFM podcast. Each episode feels like a crash course in business reporting.”
-‍ Ben Mullin, WSJ
  • Web3 Breakdowns was started by Patrick O’Shaughnessy who hosts Invest Like The Best too. Each episode focuses on topics like NFT projects, crypto assets, blockchain-based protocols, and businesses being built on web3.
“It’s awesome to finally find a podcast that deep dives the blockchain/crypto space and consolidates tons of information for easy assimilation.
“I hope to hear more about sovereign ID in web3 and the importance of being intentional in the creation of this space in order to ensure equal representation for more than just those who are smart and wealthy enough to create blockchain. Good on you guys so far!”

  • Proof by Kevin Rose is a must if you are into NFTs. Kevin is a great interviewer and has a fantastic pulse on the NFT space. If you like to Proof, make sure to check out Modern Finance (MoFi) podcast too.
“Proof and MoFi are such great Podcasts. They are filled with an unbelievable amount of education and alpha information!
“Kevin Rose is an amazing interviewer and always addresses questions that I’m thinking as well as ones I haven’t thought about. The clarity of his speech and sound of his voice makes it so easy to follow that I listen while getting some exercise in.
“This is by far my favorite Podcast for crypto/NFTs. Keep em’ coming Kevin!”

  • Pomp is one of the most respected thought leaders in Web3 and BTC. He has a massive Twitter follower base, a great newsletter, and a podcast that covers all hot topics in web3.
“This podcast is a great resource for all things business and finance! Anthony is very knowledgeable and his conversations with guests highlight relevant information and advice to allow you to expand your mindset and build wealth!”

Upcoming shows

Here you go a list of shows that have started recently but are promising and I have enjoyed listening to:
  • Unchained Crypto Insights gives weekly insights into what’s happening in Crypto and how this new take on the internet can change the world.
  • Web3 with Sam Kamani – an upcoming but very promising one! Sam is one of the most thoughtful interviewers with a deep understanding of everything web2 and 3. I am pretty excited about his new podcast!

I hope you enjoy the shortlisted shows. If you have other recommendations reach out and let me know. I am always looking for the best content on tech and all things Web3.
