A delegation from Punjab’s Health Department arrived in Dubai for the Dubai Expo 2021, where it will demonstrate the government’s successes and potential in the sector and seek international investment in health-related initiatives. Vice Chancellor University of Health Sciences (UHS) Prof. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical University (KEMU) Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, and Dean Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI) Lahore Prof. Faisal Dar are among the members of the delegation visiting the UAE on the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

Punjab province has been allotted the month of November to display its achievements and opportunities in several areas at the Dubai Expo. On Monday, at the Dubai Expo, a webinar was held in this respect, during which members of the delegation presented their offers to overseas investors. Thousands of students and staff members from more than 100 medical and dental colleges across Punjab participated in the event via video link, which was the event’s main attraction. On the occasion, a special documentary on the Health Department’s performance and government initiatives in the sector was also screened.
