The principal of a prestigious Brisbane college will address the school’s student body after a video posted online featured boys on school grounds making misogynistic and sexual remarks about women.
In a statement, Villanova College principal Mark Stower said the video, posted to social media platform TikTok, was “abhorrent” and did not reflect the school’s values.

“As a community, Villanova College is extremely disappointed in the behaviour of a small number of students who have made a video,” Mr Stower said.

The video features several boys in school uniforms lip-syncing to audio referring to sexual acts and objectifying women.

“Our students are aware of the behaviour norms expected of each and every one of them,” Mr Stower said.

“The senior staff and I will also be addressing this matter with the student body to reinforce these expectations.”

Mr Stower said the students involved would face “appropriate consequences” but refused to confirm what form they would take due to the “privacy of those involved”.
