NSW residents have little over a month to take advantage of their $100 Dine & Discover vouchers as the scheme’s expiration date draws closer.
The vouchers are valid up to and including June 30 this year and can be used seven days a week, including public holidays.
If you still haven’t taken advantage of the scheme, here’s everything you need to know.
How long do the Dine & Discover vouchers last?
The vouchers are valid until June 30, 2021.
You effectively have a month and a half to spend 2 x $25 dining vouchers and 2 x $25 discover (or entertainment) vouchers.
Can I use two Dine & Discover vouchers at once?
You can’t use both of your own dine or discover vouchers, but you can combine with another person’s voucher towards the same bill (if the business allows bill-splitting).
For example, if my wife and I go to a Thai restaurant that accepts the vouchers I can use a $25 dine voucher and my wife can use a $25 dine voucher, effectively giving us $50 off the bill.
Technically, a person can only redeem one voucher per day at a business.
Are Dine & Discover vouchers transferable?
No. The vouchers are non-transferable.
The vouchers cannot be sold, purchased or exchanged for cash.
When do Dine & Discover vouchers expire?
The vouchers expire after June 30, 2021.
But you can still apply for them on June 30, 2021.
Where can I use my Dine & Discover vouchers?
The vouchers can be used at participating NSW businesses that are registered as COVIDSafe.
This includes thousands of restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, arts venues, museums, zoos and more.
How do I apply for Dine & Discover vouchers?
To apply for the vouchers, you’ll need to be a NSW resident and be aged 18 years or over. Your primary residence needs to be in NSW.
From there, you’ll need to download the Service NSW app and have two “proof of identity documents” handy, such as your driver’s licence, Medicare card or Australian passport.
If you carry some of these documents with you, you should have access to the vouchers within an hour of applying.
What if I don’t have a smartphone?
You’ll still need MyServiceNSW account.
From there your vouchers can be sent to you via email, which you can print and use at participating businesses.
If you don’t have access to a smartphone or the internet, Service NSW recommends you call 13 77 88.
