A 3.6m saltwater crocodile was pulled in late February from a culvert outside Howard Springs in the NT, near where a pet dog was recently eaten.

“These crocodiles are more than capable of eating a human and Rangers are aware that people have been swimming in this location,” NT Parks and Wildlife said on Facebook.

“Swollen creeks and high water levels in the wet season create crocodile superhighways, allowing them to easily move into places they are not often found.”
