The 16-year-old in Sydney’s south was allegedly using a green laser beam from the backyard of his home in Bexley.
PolAir, the NSW Police helicopter, was called to investigate the alleged incident but the chopper’s crew was also allegedly targeted by a laser, with one officer on board affected.
Police took the teenager to Kogarah Police Station.
He has been released after being dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
