The jury in the trial of NRL player Jack De Belin and friend Callan Sinclair remains unable to reach a verdict after five days of deliberations.

The jury will return for a sixth day on Monday after previously being told by Judge Nicole Norman that there is “no time limit”.

The pair have pleaded not guilty to five counts each of aggravated sexual assault of a then-19-year-old woman in a Wollongong unit in 2018.

The woman alleges she was raped by the pair, however they insist the encounter was consensual.

The court was told De Belin and Sinclair met the woman on the dance floor at a Wollongong night spot during the annual Santa pub crawl before going back to the apartment.

The jury will continue its deliberations next week.
