Developers Insomniac Games (Spider-Man: Miles Morales) are expected to show off 15 minutes of fresh gameplay in addition to further announcements about the game.
While Ratchet & Clank is the focus of the online event, Sony haven’t ruled out sharing information on other games and updates from PlayStation.
Recently a leak saw a new video streaming service being added to PlayStation’s online subscription service, PS Plus.
Sony Pictures have since confirmed they are testing PS Video Pass in Poland.
If the service is successful, it’ll see fresh value added to PS Plus and boost its desirability against Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass.
PS Video Pass will include all the big-name films from Sony: Bloodshot, Jumanji: The Next Level, Zombieland 2: Double Tap, Baby Driver and more from Sony/Columbia Pictures.
It’s not yet known if PS Video Pass will be coming to Australia or other countries any time soon. Who knows? Sony may speak more to this at Friday’s event.
The PlayStation State of Play will begin on Friday at 7am (AEST).
