A Sydney family have escaped injury despite a gunman shooting up their car and house around dinner time on Tuesday.
Police are hunting the shooter, who they believe fired a series of shots at the front of the Gaza Avenue home, in Hunters Hill on Sydney’s lower north shore.
The father, 50; mother, 49; and daughter, 22, told police they had just finished dinner when the shots rang out, damaging a car in the driveway, front windows and an internal wall.
Officers found bullet casings, set up a crime scene and called in specialist police.
The police helicopter dog squad and other officers searched the area but were unable to find any sign of the shooter.
Police believe a man ran from the home, down Gaza Street, to the intersection of High Street, where he might have got in a vehicle.
They’re appealing for anyone with CCTV, dashcam footage or any other information to come forward.
