In Sydney, the crowd is marking the Royal Australian Air Force, which is celebrating its centenary this year.
“Globally, the Royal Australian Air Force has between 500 and 700 people on operations every day, contributing to coalition operations, peacekeeping and humanitarian and disaster relief,” the crowd is being told.
“The RAAF has a history of endeavour and sacrifice which is won it a place in the heart of all Australian, and a position of respect among the armed services of Australia’s allies.”
