Lorenzo Zuffi posted a photo of the phenomenon to Facebook, saying the huge group of jellyfish approaching the port made him feel like a rockstar surrounded by a moshpit of fans.

Italian media says the jellyfish are rhizostoma pulmo, which are attracted to the surface by warmer water and plankton.
