A giant swarm of jellyfish invading an Italian port has been captured on camera by amused locals.
Images and video of a smack of hundreds of the pink jellyfish on the surface of the water at a port in Trieste, Italy, were uploaded to social media.
Lorenzo Zuffi posted a photo of the phenomenon to Facebook, saying the huge group of jellyfish approaching the port made him feel like a rockstar surrounded by a moshpit of fans.
Italian media says the jellyfish are rhizostoma pulmo, which are attracted to the surface by warmer water and plankton.
