– Evacuation warning are in place for low-lying areas in western and north-west Sydney including Londonderry, Clarendon, Wetherill Park and areas around the Colo River.
-Authorities have major concerns over the Hawkesbury River with water levels scheduled to peak in just hours.
-More than 18,000 people are currently under evacuation orders, and 194 schools across NSW will remain closed.
-Parts of the Mid North Coast, four hours north of Sydney, remain underwater.
– The Army will start helping today in NSW
– It’s estimated the floods are now a $2 billion disaster.
– In Queensland, parts of the state’s south-east are being swept away, with landslides forcing residents to evacuate their homes in search for safer ground.
