Police have confirmed a 49-year-old man has been shot dead north of Adelaide in a suspected murder as a manhunt is launched.
Earlier today police and emergency services responded to reports of a fatal shooting at Brady Street in Virginia just before 3am.
Police launched a major operation involving officers from the Special Tasks and Rescue Group.
Police raided a house in nearby Odgers Street in Virginia just before 9am.
Officers later said two people from the house are assisting with inquiries and a suspect remains at large.
But police have stressed there is no danger to the community.
Forensic experts are currently examining the crime scene at Brady Street.
The area remains cordoned off to the public.
