Several people have been stabbed at a party in Melbourne’s CBD overnight.
A 19-year-old man with stab wounds flagged down police at Southern Cross Station about 2.20am today.
The man told officers he had attended a party at a short-term rental property on Spencer Street when a fight broke out, leading to him being stabbed multiple times.
He was taken to hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Police were soon made aware of other people presenting to hospitals with stab wounds around the city.
The number of injured people and their conditions is not yet known.
“Police are still to speak to all victims involved although their injuries are not considered life-threatening,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
A crime scene has been established on Spencer Street in the CBD, with residents telling 9News several people have been arrested.
Officers have been seen searching bins for a possible weapon.
Traffic between Little Bourke Street and Bourke Street is being diverted around the scene.
