The crowd turns its attention away from tennis as someone waves an Australian Flag, defaced with the words ‘get on the beers’ spelt out in masking tape.
The words said by Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews have gained traction in recent months, used while announcing the end of Melbourne’s second wave lockdown in October last year.
The phrase has since been remixed by DJs and even made its Hottest 100 debut, coming in at number 12.
It comes as hundreds have turned out in Melbourne tonight to protest the snap lockdown which comes into force at 11.59pm Friday 12 February.
