The Hope spacecraft launched from Japan at dawn in July 2020 on its way to Mars. The Beresheet spacecraft was launched successfully by Israel's SpaceIL in February 2019, but it failed to land on the moon in August 2019. The country will make another attempt. It is a pioneer in launching satellites into orbit, and it is the fifth country to reach Mars. Both countries have become major space powers in recent years. This year, China and the United States' NASA are both sending spacecraft to Mars.
