The Global Media Congress’s Higher Organising Committee met for the first time at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) to review preparations for the event’s opening. H.H. the Sultan of Brunei is the patron of the event. The inaugural Global Media Congress, hosted by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) in strategic partnership with Emirates News Agency (WAM), will take place in the UAE capital from November 15 to 17, 2022. The meeting, which was chaired by Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of WAM, saw members from the Higher Organising Committee and its subcommittees assign and delegate duties and tasks to ensure the event’s successful launch.

The hosting and organization of the event bolsters the industry’s role as a critical contributor to the UAE’s continuous advancement, as well as supplementing the continued expansion and development of the media sector in the UAE and the region. The members also examined the event’s overall program, important themes and issues, and discussed the sector’s current challenges throughout the meeting. The committee determined that the Global Media Congress will focus on critical areas of digital communications, the impact of artificial intelligence on modern media, and the integration of sophisticated technology and innovation in the media sector after the enlightening and educational session. The Congress’ debut edition, which will focus on digital communications, aims to strengthen links between various media institutions throughout the world through a unique platform that will serve as a meeting point for diverse industries.
