The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre is now ready to welcome large crowds of worshippers and visitors. Task teams worked 24 hours a day, seven days a week to ensure that the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Al Fujairah, and the Sheikh Khalifa Grand Mosque in Al Ain were ready for Ramadan. The imams of Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Idris Abkar, and Yahya Eishan, will lead Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers at the grand mosques.
Throughout Ramadan, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre has announced that it will distribute 30,000 Iftar meals to workers in various Abu Dhabi labor accommodations. The Centre said it would continue to work with the “Abu Dhabi ErthHotel,” a long-time strategic partner, to produce and deliver healthy iftar meals on a daily basis, taking into account the needs of people fasting, and in accordance with the highest health and safety regulations. Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the meals will be given in direct conjunction with the specialized economic zones – Zonescorp – to people of all ethnicities. This symbolizes the ideals of charity and benevolence espoused by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late founder.
