The United States of America Members of an international network funding the Houthis' fight against the Yemeni government and more aggressive strikes targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in surrounding states have been designated by the Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). This network has transported tens of millions of dollars to Yemen via a complicated international network of intermediaries in support of the Houthis' attacks, led by the US-designated Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) and Houthi financier Sa'id al-Jamal. Despite repeated international pleas for peace, the Houthis continue their destructive assault inside Yemen, launching ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that have attacked civilian facilities in neighboring states, resulting in human casualties.

"Despite pleas to end this devastating conflict through negotiations, Houthi leaders continue to launch a missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks against Yemen's neighbors, killing innocent civilians, while millions of Yemeni civilians remain displaced and hungry," said Brian E. Nelson, Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. "The US continues to engage with our regional allies to take firm action against those who seek to prolong the war for their own ends." The Houthi leaders must put a halt to their bloodshed and talk in good faith to end the crisis."
