According to the annual Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index, the United Arab Emirates is the most competitive emerging market in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and third internationally, behind only China and India.
The UAE topped the Index’s 50 countries in terms of generating the best business climate and digital readiness, a new category.
In business fundamentals, the UAE outperformed all 50 countries, a category in which Gulf and MENA countries are obvious leaders. Saudi Arabia (number three), Bahrain (number five), Oman (number six), Morocco (number nine), Jordan (number ten), and Kuwait (number eleven) round out the top ten (12). Saudi Arabia (6) and Qatar (7) were also among the top ten emerging markets in the 2022 Index, which was topped by China (1) and India (2). (2).
