After meeting the Prime Minister of Spain, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, announced the start of a new period in UAE-Spain cooperation. During their talks at Expo 2020 Dubai on Wednesday, Sheikh Mohammed and Pedro Sanchez observed the signing of agreements spanning the education, technology, and investment sectors. Sheikh Mohammed posted on Twitter, “I met the Spanish Prime Minister today at Expo 2020 Dubai.” “We are the most important economic partner for them in the region and the Arab country that invests the most in Spain.” And today, we begin a new and active phase of strategic partnerships with them as a result of Expo.”
In addition, during Expo 2020 Dubai, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met with the Spanish leader. Sheikh Mohamed wished Mr Sanchez a successful visit and a nice stay in the country during the meeting at the Beach Palace. In December, Sheikh Mohammed paid a visit to the Expo’s Spanish pavilion. In addition to the tour, he was informed about the pavilion’s immersive experience, which focuses on the country’s solidarity as well as its creativity and innovation. The pavilion’s eco-friendly exhibits combine Spain’s ancient legacy with cutting-edge technology to demonstrate how the country is leading the way in education and encouraging business.
