e27 voices: Top 50 contributors on 2021
The onset of the new decade has been no easy feat for us as the human race. Dominated by uncertainty, fear and struggle nearly all of us were forced to bring out our resilient, empathetic selves.
Businesses had to pivot in such a way that it tossed their original identity, industries strived to keep up in the midst of demand (think supply chain), and new trends began to rule our lives whether we were ready or not (read: telehealth, remote work). Adapting and innovating were the only mantras we had at hand.
To top it all, the virus made it impossible for us to socially interact and engage in real life. With restricted movement and lack of physical events; the exchange of ideas and solutions and learning from each other’s stories was nearly impossible.
Thankfully, we have a growing army of e27 contributors who stepped up and shared their stories, their pain points, their best practices, their sympathy, their views–– their voices. In 2020 alone, we saw 800+ new members join the e27 Contributor Community. And it expanded to include investors, VCs, corporate executives, government officials, academics in addition to the core group of startup founders.
Both the e27 readers and team are grateful for these unique views and voices. And while the war (I dare say) may not be fully over; we thought its time we honour these emerging thought leaders in the Southeast Asian ecosystem with a little medal or so.
After running this programme for over two years, I am delighted to announce the first edition of e27 Voices– our annual hall of fame to commemorate thought leaders in the tech startup ecosystem who have used the e27 Contributor Programme to share their views with the tech startup community.
We screened over 1,000 deserving contributors for their expertise levels, the popularity of their articles and consistency in contributing to the ecosystem to come up with our top 50 voices as you may find below.
