The finals of the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be held in Dubai, the International Cricket Council’s headquarters. The seventh edition of the global championship, which is being staged for the first time in the Middle East, further cements Dubai’s growing reputation as one of the world’s most prominent and secure sporting event venues. Because of its extraordinary success in staging multi-stage global competitions, Dubai was chosen as the venue for the final of the 16-country tournament, which features international cricket’s best talents.
It was also the best destination for the event because of its enormous hospitality and health infrastructure, as well as its ability to generate the globally benchmarked bio-secure bubbles required for the safe organization of a tournament as large as the T20 Cricket World Cup. “Dubai’s steady growth as a global sporting hub has been made possible by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, and the extensive investments made in world-class infrastructure under His Highness’s directives,” said Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
