Emerging Vision

Emerging Vision, a Singapore-headquartered online spiritual wellness company, has bagged US$4 million in a Series A round led by Singapore-based Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from unnamed angels.

This brings the startup’s total funds raised since inception to US$5 million.

With the new investment, Emerging Vision will improve its live-streaming technology and AI-powered platforms Guruji (Android) and Teller (iOS).

It also plans to expand its operations into new and existing markets. So far, the startup has made its presence in Singapore, India and the US.

Emerging Vision also plans to launch its e-commerce marketplace to become the first port of call for global users.

Launched in 2019, Emerging Vision leverages live-streaming in the global spiritual wellness industry. It allows users to receive interactive and face-to-face consultations with credentialed astrologers, tarot readers, life coaches, and mentors from the comfort of their homes.

The platform targets the digital-native Generation Z customers, who can use the app on either Android (Guruji) or iOS (Teller) devices.

“Although spiritual services involve centuries-old ancient practices that have existed in myriad forms across countries and religions, the market is highly fragmented and traditionally operates offline. Today’s users — especially Gen Z — now yearn for more seamless and accessible, digital-first approaches to improve their well-being,” said Alan Cui, founder and CEO of Emerging Vision.

The wellness startup applies a freemium model with free public live sessions for all users and a paid “call-in” option to initiate private live sessions of tailored consultations.

Emerging Vision claims to have achieved a 500 per cent year-on-year growth in annual revenue run rate within 18 months of its Android debut and three months of its iOS launch.

The company stated that around 180,000 consultations take place on the platform per month, retaining 30 per cent of new visitors in the following month.

It also boasts a network of more than 550 verified astrologers.

“Emerging Vision has created a transformative approach towards spiritual wellness at a time where there is fast-growing demand globally for wellness solutions,” said Akshay Bhushan, partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
